Funeral
A Humanist funeral, not being religious, offers no recognition of an afterlife. Instead, the life of the deceased is affectionately celebrated. The person’s memory is honored, and we acknowledge the lifetime of gifts received by us from that person. We encourage friends and family to remember moments of the person’s life, and then to stand and share them with us. This sort of reminiscing and sharing can help with the grieving; making the process just a bit easier.
